As the brand tells it, the craft goes back to a first Alchemist who worked with Rods of Ma'at in a previous life — and has returned to craft them again, drawing on ancient Egyptian tradition to build what the brand describes as some of the most advanced hand-made energy tools available today.

Sellers offering "solid copper and zinc" rods are often cutting manufacturing cost. Here's why genuine Rods of Ma’at® rods use an interior quartz and mineral core instead.
Solid copper and zinc alone create a basic galvanic battery effect between the two metals. That activates physical nerve endings, but on its own it lacks the additional, more subtle energy associated with a crystal structure.
